1 out of 5 stars Horrible Book!   January 1, 1999

This has got to be the most depraved and scandalous book out there. I am shocked that anyone even gave it a rave review while hiding one of its secrets. It advocates incestous and pedophilia fantasies for parents to have for their children. Here is an excerpt from that book.../// "Others of us may find ourselves sexually turned on by our children, and these impulses may frighten us so much that we maintain physical distance in an effort to avoid the unacceptable sexual feelings and possibly even to protect our children from being the object of our sexual fantasies. Sexual feelings for our children begin early. It is important to realize that sexual fantasies about one's children are normal. Many mothers in the groups reported having some such fantasies at least occasionally. Children are sexual, warm, cuddly human beings (...) we can feel turned on and have the fantasies but we don't have to act them out. Acting them out can be detrimental to the child, while just having the fantasy is perfectly harmless. One of the group members, Samantha, had sexual fantasies about her five-year-old step-daughter... Another woman in the group announced that she, too, had had sexual fantasies which included her four-year-old daughter... So it was suggested that Samantha allow herself to have the fantasies, to exaggerate them, and carry them, still in fantasy, to the greatest possible extreme. " - Chapter 16 Bringing up Children Sexually./// Then it goes on to say how this women was cured, thanks to the "Doctors" suggestion to indulge in the fantasy. Is this woman twisted or what? This book should be a warning to parents everywhere, that there is a conspiracy to ever so slowly push pedophilia into our homes.

This is one of four books I recommend to wives who want to take more responsibility in their sexual relationship with their husband. Lonnie Barbach lays out a practical course for unleashing your femininity. This book will make a difference in your life.

5 out of 5 stars A great book on a delicate subject.   March 20, 1998

This is a wonderful self-help book on how to become comfortable with your own body and how to share that with your partner, if you have one and even if you don't. It's very informative, interesting and helpful on something that has been taboo to discuss or find information about for many years. This book has helped me immensely in my relationship in the principle that if you don't know how to love your body and yourself, how can anyone else? And, if you don't know, how can they? A rare find in a book with a warm helpful feel for any woman.
